A Year of Rattling and Rolling

Seems as though life is rattling and rolling through a roller coaster of verbal tit for tat. This came to mind as a 5.8 earthquake hit our area (the epicenter) in Lincoln… Life is preciously balanced between energy formations. We never know when life will be thrown off balanced or dissolve.  Life holds obscure moments, intrigue and hope. Hold tight to what you love, what you hold most dear. The rest…let silence...

In Honor of our National Endowment for the Arts

The NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) makes a difference in all of our lives. It touches the common core of artists in every state. What might the arts be (you ask)? The arts refer to more than visual arts it refers to a way of life: to music, dance, photography, poetry, writing and on and on. Calm on the Surface, Paddling like Hell Underneath

These days it is all we can do to remain calm on the surface. Gratitude, kindness, generosity of spirit, and acceptance of all has flown out of the water. Our sweet earth must marvel at life that exists upon it’s surface. For now I search for humor in the depths of muck. It can be found…it’s shiny and it needs to be grasped to contain our sanity in. Not only was I beautifying downtown Stevensville in time for Founder’s Day, but also honoring the Veteran’s from American Legion Post 94. The story unfolded in the most...

Fortunate

As a child I was fortunate. The land was my constant companion. The soft beds of Big Sandy Creek sheltered my feet and soothed my legs. Delights hid in the murky water… snapping turtles, large catfish, and frog eyes bulging with expectancy. Insects buzzed, landed, moved on… The Dragonfly spoke a language of crisp erratic flight. Silently the wings sounded like rice paper crinkling ever so slightly in the air currents a sketchy...
